About Nara Station
Situated just outside of Osaka, Nara is an excellent day trip destination to tack onto your trip to Japan. Nara was one of the earliest capitals of the Japanese Empire, making it a must-visit for history buffs. The Kasuga Taisha Shinto shrine has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is Nara’s claim to fame. The Tadai-ji Temple and its massive golden Buddha is another iconic landmark to hit.
The primary transportation hub in the city is the well-connected Nara Station, which provides links to other cities in Japan and local connections. JR Nara Station shouldn’t be confused with Kintetsu Nara Station, which is situated 15 minutes away. If you’re planning a trip to Nara, you’ll likely use this transportation hub. To explore more freely, finding a place to store the bags can go a long way to making your trip to Nara more enjoyable.
With Bounce, you have luggage storage service spots all over the city to choose from, including the main 大宮町 1-3-8 option.
How to book luggage storage at Nara Station
- Easy booking: Using the mobile app or website, you can find the most convenient storage spot and book in minutes. This involves a quick search and entering the number of items you need to store.
- Pay securely in the app: While still in the app, complete your reservation by paying online. The flat rate is much easier to deal with than hourly rates at luggage lockers. Plus, you won't be looking for the exact right amount of Yen to use coin-operated lockers.
How luggage storage is different from station lockers
- Increased flexibility: While there are coin lockers near the station's east exit and west ticket gates, and the tourist information center, Nara Station’s storage facilities are extremely limited in terms of the size of items that can be kept there. With Bounce locations, you can store just about any item imaginable.
- Easy on the schedule: Whether you need to store the bags for a few hours or an entire day, Bounce allows users to plan their luggage storage service around their specific itinerary.
- Guaranteed reservation: Unlike lockers at train stations, your Bounce reservation is confirmed once you make your payment. So there's no worrying about locker availability.
- More personable experience: All Bounce storage spots are located in local shops and businesses that we've partnered with. This creates a friendly experience for users as attendants will be helpful and can provide local insight and tips. They are usually open from 9 AM to 8 PM, but times do vary. Check the opening hours when you book and you might even find a location open 24 hours!
