Frequently
asked questions

  • How much does luggage storage cost in Whistler?

We charge from CA$4.80 per day (24 hours) for luggage storage in Whistler.

  • Does Whistler have luggage lockers?

Yes, but they're not always the best option. Luggage lockers can fill up quickly and may be unavailable when you need them. Some luggage lockers may be too small to fit large or bulky items. Unlike luggage lockers, we don't charge per hour and instead charge a flat rate for 24 hours of storage. We also have partners who watch over your stuff to make sure it's safe, and can answer any questions you may have or give you advice on what to do in Whistler.

  • How does Bounce luggage storage work?

We partner with local businesses around the world who have secure spaces to store luggage for travelers. Just tell us how many bags you have and when you need storage, and we'll show you convenient places you can keep your stuff safe while you explore.

Booking online is super easy and only takes a couple of minutes. To keep our partners and your stuff safe, we'll show you the address of the store once you book online. When you're ready, head to the store and show the Bounce Partner your booking confirmation so they can take your bags and securely store them right away. Then you can enjoy your day without having to worry about your bags!

To pick up your bags, show the Bounce Partner your booking confirmation and they'll hand over your stuff. That's it!
  • Where is my luggage stored?

We only partner with trusted businesses who have a dedicated, secure place to keep your luggage safe. Some businesses may store luggage behind a counter that's off-limits to customers, while others may have storage rooms or closets for your luggage. But no matter where you choose to leave your luggage, our partners will keep it safe.

  • What can I store with Bounce?

Luggage, backpacks, gym bags, and more! Bounce is like having a personal storage facility for your stuff anywhere you go, so you can leave much more than just luggage with us. Whether you want to store your luggage after checking out of your Airbnb or want to drop off your work bag before hitting happy hour, we've got you covered.

We don't charge extra for oversized items, but some special items might need to be approved before you can store them. For example, surfboards, guitars, car seats, bicycles, or skis take up a lot of space, so let us know if you have them. We can check with the Bounce Partner for you to make sure they have room for your stuff.
  • Is there hourly luggage storage in Whistler?

Yes, but many companies charge per hour and costs can add up fast. We charge one price for 24 hours of storage, so storing your stuff is more affordable in Whistler.

  • How long can I leave my luggage with Bounce?

Whether you need storage for a couple of hours or a couple of days, we've got you covered! Just put in the dates and times you need luggage storage and we'll show you all of the available locations on our map. For long-term storage lasting more than a week, reach out to us and we'll help you find a convenient location.

If you're already storing your stuff but you need more time, you can add more time from your booking details page. Just make sure the store will be open and you can get your bags before your new pickup time.
  • How do I change or cancel my booking?

Plans change, we get it! If you need to change or cancel your booking for any reason, the best way to do it is from your booking details page in the Bounce app. You can edit the dates, drop-off and pick-up times, and number of bags. You can also cancel your booking or rebook at a nearby store. If you can't find your booking details, check the email address you used to make your booking. You can change your booking by following the link there, or reach out to us if you need support.

Store Your Luggage Around Whistler With Bounce

Whistler is a resort town in the Canadian province of British Columbia. Snowy and secluded, Whistler is a popular getaway location for both Canadian citizens and tourists from around the world. According to legend, Whistler gets its name from hoary marmots. These large, squirrel-like creatures emit high-pitched whistling noises when threatened. Indeed, many hoary marmots still inhabit the area and have become something of mascots for the town of Whistler.

Whistler isn’t just famous for its adorable mascots – the city is also a major hub for winter sports. Skiers and snowboarders from all four corners of the Earth travel to Whistler each year. Whistler has also hosted a myriad of significant winter sports events, like various portions of the 2010 Winter Olympics. Christmas in Whistler is also an amazing experience in and of itself. Heck, Whistler’s even a great place to go mountain biking during the summer. Case in point, there’s never a bad time to visit this resort town.

Luggage Storage in Whistler

With a population size of about 11,854, Whistler could best be described as a medium-sized town. However, more than two million travelers visit the resort town each year. As a result, Whistler can feel very vacant during some times of the year and very crowded at other times. The latter is especially true during the winter season when all of the major sporting events are happening. Visitors who are hoping to explore as much of Whistler as they can should use Bounce to store their things. We’re a luggage storage service that’s available each day of the week. Top Things to Do

Whistler is the ultimate winter resort town. Snowboarders love the city for its challenging slopes. Skiers adore Whistler for its winding trails. Families never get tired of building snowmen together. Couples enjoy cozying up by a warm fire. Individual travelers almost have too many options to choose from. Guests will find plenty of fun things to do in this winter wonderland. Below is a selection of exciting activities to try out in Whistler.

Museums

Patrons of the arts, history buffs, and sports fans rejoice! Whistler has plenty of magnificent museums dedicated to all of the above and more. Some of these venues are small, family-owned exhibits. Others are sprawling, state of the art complexes. Regardless of their sizes, all of Whistler’s museums are must-visit locales. Without further adieu, here are a few of our favorite museums.

  • Audain Art Museum: The Audain Art Museum is a great venue to learn about early art and culture. Permanent collections include Northwest Coast First Nations Masks and art by contemporary British Columbia artists. Special exhibits are also held year-round. This museum is located on Blackcomb Way in Whistler. Use Bounce before visiting, as the Audain Art Museum has a reasonably strict baggage policy.
  • Fathom Stone Art Gallery: See stone sculptures galore at the Fathom Stone Art Gallery. Visitors can also buy miniature sculptures to take home as souvenirs. Marble, jade, serpentine, limestone, quartz, brucite, and soapstone are some of the stone types used.
  • Whistler Museum: Learn about pioneer life at the Whistler Museum. The history of mountain life and the people who lived it is showcased here. With such a wide range of exhibits, guests will always have something new to look forward to at the Whistler Museum.

Shopping

As one might expect, Whistler has plenty of winter sports stores to shop at. These are perfect places for experienced snowboarders to buy new gear and new skiers to purchase their first package. However, there are also plenty of places to grab groceries, souvenirs, and designer clothes in Whistler. The following are some of our favorite places to shop.

  • Affinity Sports IV: Affinity is Whistler’s one-stop-shop for sports gear. Guests can buy apparel and accessories, and rent equipment for the slopes. Don't be afraid to try something new. If the rental isn't the best fit, make an exchange.
  • Patagonia: This is the perfect store for the outdoor enthusiast. Alpinism is their main claim to fame. They also sell everything you'll ever need for surfing, trail running, paddling, and more. You'll find the store in Whistler's Marketplace.
  • The Oracle at Whistler: Are you looking for a unique item to mark your time at Whistler? This is the store to browse in. Clothing, journals, crystals, and incense can be found here. Home decor and jewelry are other offerings, along with original and limited edition art. They even do psychic readings.

Dining

Warm food and a warm drink are some of the best ways to stave off Old Man Winter. As one can imagine, Whistler gets pretty darn chilly throughout the winter season. Thankfully, the city has a smorgasbord of great restaurants to eat at. From exotic bistros to familiar steakhouses, Whistler has it all. Vegan and vegetarian travelers will also find plenty of dining options in Whistler. Below are some of our favorite places to go for a delicious meal.

  • The Grill Room: The Grill Room is a stellar steakhouse with a classic, homestyle vibe. Prime rib, fillet mignon are just a few of the Grill Room’s specialty dishes. Enjoy organic produce and ocean-wise seafood. The decor is warm and welcoming.
  • Whistler Tasting Tour: Eat, drink, and be merry at five different gourmet restaurants. Not only is the evening fun, but BC wines are a highlight of the tour as well. Don't miss this highly-rated experience.
  • The Wildflower: What better way to enjoy a meal than with a view of Whistler Mountain. It's an incredible sight and the floor to ceiling windows ensure that you don't miss a thing. Offerings on the menu are regional cuisine-inspired, and paired with exceptional Canadian and International wines.
