DTM Lausitzring 2025
Germany’s premier touring car series is heading back to the Lausitzring! From May 23–25, 2025, DTM Lausitzring 2025 will bring high-speed action, wheel-to-wheel battles, and roaring engines to the DEKRA Lausitzring in Schipkau, a city sitting between Dresden and Berlin.
DTM Lausitzring 2025 is part of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) series, Germany’s top touring car championship, where top manufacturers and elite drivers go wheel-to-wheel on one of Europe’s most demanding circuits. This tri-oval circuit is one of the most unique tracks in Europe and it features long straights, technical corners, and banked sections that guarantee close racing and daring overtakes.
History of the Lausitzring
Opened in 2000, the Lausitzring is one of Europe’s most distinctive race tracks. It was the first European circuit to feature a banked oval which makes it a rare gem in the world of motorsport. While the oval layout is mostly used for testing, the DTM Lausitzring race takes place on the technical road course, which challenges drivers with fast straights, tight chicanes, and sweeping corners.
In 2025, the DEKRA Lausitzring continues its tradition of hosting top-tier motorsport, with the DTM Lausitzring 2025 event expected to draw massive crowds – previous years saw more than 67,500 spectators packed into the stands!
