Join others under one roof and learn more about Pennsylvania's agriculture industry!
The PA Farm Show is over a century old! The show began in 1917 and was created to promote Pennsylvania’s agricultural industry. It aimed to provide a space for farmers to show off their skills, livestock, and products. The first event was held in a smaller venue in Harrisburg and grew rapidly due to its popularity.
In 1931, the show moved to its current location, the PA Farm Show Complex & Expo Center, a massive venue that covers over 24 acres of indoor space. Over the years, it became the largest indoor agricultural exposition in the United States.
Here’s an interesting fact! The Pennsylvania Farm Show's iconic butter sculpture debuted in 1991 and became a fan favorite. Made from around 1,000 pounds of butter, each year, it depicts a different agricultural theme or event. You can also try the legendary milkshakes, with tens of thousands sold annually. They’re a must-try treat!
The show draws nearly half a million people and contributes $132.5 billion annually to Pennsylvania's economy, which is quite impressive!
