Cardiff Central is the main train station in Cardiff, the capital of Wales. Opened in 1850, the station was initially called Cardiff but was changed to Cardiff General in 1925 before being given its current name of Cardiff Central in 1973. Located at Central Square in the middle of Cardiff, Cardiff Central is one of two major railway hubs. Although when you count minor railway stations, there is a total of 20 in the city!
