The City of Lights, the City of Second Chances, the Entertainment Capital of the World - Las Vegas has many nicknames, and each of them is well earned. Folks call Vegas the City of Lights because of the Strip’s shining neon signs. People call Vegas the City of Second Chances because guests can win big in one of Sin City’s numerous casinos. However, it’s because of venues like Bellagio that people call Las Vegas the Entertainment Capital of the World; this luxury resort doubles as a hotel, casino, and even an art exhibit. When most people imagine a trip to Vegas, they think of Bellagio and its five-star service.
The designs for this resort were drafted in 1998 by Atlandia Design and a Mr. Steve Wynn. Architect Roger Thomas was commissioned to design Bellagio’s interior. With so many talented individuals working together, it’s no wonder why Bellagio turned out so well. Bellagio has more than 3,000 rooms, an art gallery, a nightclub, a conservatory, and a world-famous water fountain. There’s never a dull moment at Bellagio; guests are sure to be enchanted and entertained by the resort's myriad attractions.
Bellagio earned its reputation as a five-star resort for a number of reasons. The sheer number of activities that Bellagio offers contributes to the venue’s success. Guests are also more than welcome to tour the Gallery of Fine Art; the works of artists like Ansel Adams and Monet are typically displayed year-round. Bellagio’s Conservatory and Botanical Gardens are standouts among the resort’s attractions; visitors can admire hundreds of exotic plants across five seasonal themes - Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, and the Chinese New Year. Add these highlights to your plans.
Las Vegas has another nickname that we didn’t mention before - the City that Never Sleeps. Vegas actually shares this nickname with New York City. Why? The Gallery used to be the private collection of Mr. Steve Wynn, one of the men who helped build Bellagio. However, Mr. Wynn’s collection became a public attraction when he sold Bellagio’s hotels in 2000. Since then, the Gallery has become something of a rotating exhibit.
Aside from a few mainstays, the Gallery of Fine Art cycles through various art pieces each year. Works like Ansel Adams’ “America” exhibit have been displayed in the past. Guests who’d like to learn about current and upcoming exhibitions should visit the Gallery’s website when they can.
