This natural science museum is located on the McGill University downtown campus and offers an assortment of rather odd curiosities ranging from shrunken heads to mummies and dinosaur bones. The Redpath Museum was a gift to McGill University from Peter Redpath, a sugar baron, and was completed in 1882. While the layout of the exhibits may seem a bit helter-skelter, each exhibit has a purpose in portraying the natural history of not only Montréal but the entire world. Gawk at giant crabs and dinosaur skeletons and learn about the mummification process used in ancient Egypt.
