How to get to Munich Olympic Stadium

This is probably the easiest and most convenient way to get to the stadium, and while the trams get crowded at busy times, that's only because it's the most popular option to get to the stadium from Munich Hauptbahnhof.

Alternatively, you can take the subway from the central station to Scheidplatz Sud, then take bus line 144 from there to the station. However, this will take at least 45 minutes and involves a transfer, so it really only makes sense to do it if you can't take the tram for some reason.

A taxi from the train station to the stadium takes around seven minutes without traffic, but if there's a major event on, expect it to take much longer.

From Munich Airport, the best thing to do is take the train directly to Moosach station. From there, you can take the subway line 3 to the stadium itself. This journey will take around an hour, cost you about €14, and requires a walk of approximately 20 minutes.
