Multicentro San Jose: Another small shopping mall in the heart of the city, Multicentro San Jose is a great place to find bargains and sales. Museo Histórico Cultural Juan Santamaría luggage storage

Located just outside the airport in a former military training ground and barracks, this interesting museum explores the military and political history of the nation of Costa Rica. The airport itself is named after Juan Santamaria, a drummer boy who lost his life in a battle fought by Costa Rica against American influence, and you'll learn more about him and the background to the nation's struggles for independence here.
