Most tourists visit South Korea for its centuries-old temples, impressive art galleries, trendy boutiques, legendary nightlife scenes, creative cuisine, and picturesque mountains. But if you’re in Seoul looking for mind-blowing entertainment and unique experiences in one location, head to Lotte World, the world’s largest indoor theme park. With thrilling rides, cultural features, and enchanting shows, it’s no surprise that many call it the 'Disneyland of Korea.'
Lotte World has adventures for all ages and interests. It has two main areas: the indoor Lotte World Adventure with numerous family-friendly rides, and the Magic Island surrounded by Seokchon Lake, where some of the heart-pounding rides are found. Some of the top attractions you shouldn't miss are the Lotte World Aquarium, Gimhae Lotte Water Park, Lotte World Folk Museum, and Atlantis. It's also home to a shopping mall, movie theaters, and Korea’s largest ice rink. Saying it has a lot feels like an understatement!
A day won’t be enough to experience everything, especially if you have to wait in line and navigate the busy crowds. But if one day or a few hours are all you have, be efficient with your time, and don't let your heavy bags slow you down. Store your luggage with Bounce to keep your belongings safe while you take part in as many activities as you can.
Whether you’re looking for heart-pumping, stomach-dropping rides or something chill for the whole family, you’ll find it at Lotte World Adventure Seoul. If you want to take a break from all the rides, watch a show or a colorful parade with different themes for various seasons or festivals. For teens, young adults, or the young at heart, don’t forget to rent cute school uniforms to wear for fun and take pretty photos in the photobooths with your friends or dates.
If South Korea is on your bucket list, add Lotte World to your must-visit spots. It’s accessible via bus, train, or even airport shuttle, so you won’t have trouble getting here. Take the subway to Jamsil Station using Line 2 (Green) or Line 8 (Pink.) From Seoul Station, you'll need to transfer at Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station from Line 2 to Line 4. The total trip takes 35 minutes.
If you’re coming from the airport, airport buses 6000 and 6705A have routes near the theme park. You can also take Green Bus 3217, 3313, 3314, and 3315, Express Bus (Red) 1007-1, 1100, and 1700, and Blue Bus 301, 341, 345, and 360. Alternatively, catch a Kakao taxi to get to your destination, though expect it to be more expensive than buses and the subway.
Visiting Lotte World, with its fascinating indoor and outdoor amusement parks, ensures a memorable experience, no matter your age or interest. However, it's not a place for large bags and has restrictions on what items you can bring inside. Only bring your essentials and leave the rest at a secure Bounce luggage storage facility for safekeeping.
