About Toronto Coach Terminal 

Located on Bay Street in Toronto, the Toronto Coach Terminal is your gateway to Canada as well as the United States. Just a block from Yonge Street and the Toronto Eaton Centre, you can get a bus from Ontario Northland, Greyhound Canada, Megabus, or Coach Canada here. In fact, you can reach over 3,800 destinations in North America from this terminal. 

The art deco building opened in 1931 and was known as the Gray Coach Terminal at the time, owned by the Toronto Transit Commission. It is listed on the City of Toronto’s heritage buildings register as a historic building. Although the building was partially rebuilt in 1984, the original structure still stands, and you can see the stunning architectural decorations around the building. The skylights, chandeliers, and regal staircase remain in place as well. 

Fun Fact: Toronto is the most populous city in Canada and the capital of Ontario. 

Things to do in Toronto Coach Terminal 

  • Visit St. James Park near King Street East and Jarvis Street. The park has a variety of gardens you can walk through with a gazebo in the middle to relax and enjoy the view. 
  • Allen Garden and Park is an indoor garden and six greenhouses on Gerrard Street East. The park has 16,000 square feet of vibrantly colored flowers and greenery from all over the world.
  • Nathan Phillips Square on Queen Street West is a great place to enjoy a stroll around the lake or do some shopping at Eaton Centre. During the winter, the lake turns into an ice-skating rink. 
  • Are you a tree hugger? Well, you don’t have to be to want to go hug this tree. The Hug Me Tree on Queen Street West outside the Black Bull Pub is decorated with paint and says “Hug Me” on it. You cannot miss it. 
  • Get a drink at the Queen & Beaver Public House. It is located just a few minutes from the terminal. Enjoy a pint of beer, have a bite to eat, or just relax and enjoy the ambiance.
  • If you like art, head over to Dundas Street West to see the Art Gallery of Ontario. The gallery has almost 95,000 artworks by local and international artists. 
  • Spadina Wave Deck along Queens Quay are the most unique landmarks you will ever see. The cedar decks along the waterfront are shaped into waves, inspired by the waves of the great lakes of Ontario. 
  • Go shopping at CF Toronto Eaton Centre on Yonge Street, which is less than a mile from the terminal.

  • Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada: Located on Bremmer Boulevard just a few miles from the station, this crazy aquarium is a lot of fun for everyone. As you enter, you will see the Dangerous Lagoon and Discovery Center Overlook, where you can see sharks and other cool marine life. And then on to the Canadian Waters and Kelp Forest before heading downstairs to see the Sting Ray Bay, Planet Jellies, the Discovery Center, and Rainbow Reef. 
  • St. Patrick Half House: Check out the half house on St. Patrick Street. Built in the 1890s, this really is a half of a house. There were six rowhomes there, but they were bought as each of the owners agreed to the sales. But this owner did not want to sell his half. So, the buyers took their half of the house and left him with just a half-house. Be sure to leave your luggage with one of our Bounce affiliates on the way. But grab your camera first because you need some pics of this weird building.
  • EdgeWalk: Feel like living on the edge? Go over to CN Tower on Bremner Boulevard. You can walk on the top of the building over 1,100 feet in the air. Hooked up to a harness system, you will walk in a group of six people around a five-foot ledge. You can even lean over the edge to get a one-of-a-kind view of Toronto and Lake Ontario. This amazing attraction is in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the highest external walk on a building.
  • Harbourfront Centre: Take a trip to the Harbourfront Centre on Queens Quay West, where you can find just about anything you want to do. The 10-acre site along the shores of Lake Ontario has several marinas, a pond, two stages, an ice-skating rink, and a large park. Indoor activities include three more theaters, an art gallery, craft studio, a brewhouse, several shops, and a market. Leave your bags with one of our Bounce affiliates, so you don’t have to worry about them. 
  • Roundhouse Park: At the Metro Toronto Convention Center on Bremner Road, you can find the Toronto Railway Museum with restored train equipment and historical buildings. Take a ride on the Roundhouse Park Miniature Railway Train. The tracks loop through the 16-acre park. You will see the 650-ton concrete train coaling tower as well as the 60,000-gallon water tower. The museum provides tours, or you can just meander through the exhibits to learn more about the Toronto Railway System. Stop off at a Bounce spot on your way to unload your bags.
  • St. Lawrence Market: If you are looking for something unique, check out St. Lawrence Market, where you can find handmade and crafted items from over 120 local artisans. Located on Front Street East, they have been there since 1803. The South Market has vendors who are known for their fresh seafood, produce, and other items. The North Market is a showroom for flea markets, antique dealers, and other displays. St. Lawrence Hall has retail shops and rental space. Be sure you stop at one of our local Bounce partners to drop off your luggage for safekeeping.  
  • Old Town Toronto: Are you hungry? Take a trip to Old Town Toronto just a mile from the station on Adelaide. The neighborhood is one of the first and was named in 1815. There are 123 restaurants and cafés in Old Town to choose from. Some of these include Amaya Express with the best Indian food in town, Bellissimo Pizzeria & Ristorante for some awesome pizza, and Duke’s Refresher for a huge burger and some fries.
