On October 11, which is also National Coming Out Day, you can dance and experience a variety of music at the Atlanta Pride Official Kick-Off Party. The main program, the Atlanta Pride Festival and a Parade, is prepared for October 12 & 13. In addition to the annual parade, the Atlanta Pride Committee organizes marches during the festival weekend - the Trans March, Dyke March, and Bi+ Pan March.

The Atlanta Pride Parade kicks off at noon on Sunday as a perfect finish to the festival. Starting from the Atlanta Civic Center MARTA Station and continuing down Peachtree Street, the parade will turn right onto 10th Street and end a block from the Charles Allen Gates to Piedmont Park.

• MARTA: Take the Red or Gold MARTA Line to Midtown Station (the closest station to the park). From Midtown Station, it's about a 10-15-minute walk to Piedmont Park via 10th Street.
• Bike: Atlanta is a bike-friendly city, so consider renting a bike to get there.
• Car: Many streets will be closed during the festival. If you're going by car, note that there are a few parking decks and lots in the area, such as the SAGE Parking Facility on Monroe Drive.
