EDC Las Vegas, or Electric Daisy Carnival, is the largest electronic dance music festival in North America. It's a three-night explosion of lights, sound, and pure energy held under the desert sky. Every May, ravers from all over the world gather at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway to dance from dusk till dawn, surrounded by neon-drenched stages, carnival rides, and fire-spewing art cars.

EDC started in 1991 in Los Angeles as a small underground rave. It grew through the '90s and 2000s, moving venues and expanding fast. But its true glow-up came in 2011, when it made its home in Las Vegas and transformed into the mega-festival we know today. Since then, it's become a rite of passage for EDM lovers, with over 500,000 attendees each year and lineups stacked with top DJs like Tiësto, Zedd, Skrillex, and Carl Cox.

What to Expect When Attending EDC Las Vegas 2025

Expect three nights of non-stop magic, music, and lights. Camping at EDC Las Vegas (Camp EDC) is like a mini-festival within the festival. Located right next to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, it’s the ultimate way to stay close to the action, meet other ravers, and immerse yourself in the community 24/7. There, you can attend pool parties, workshops, meditation and yoga sessions, and so much more.

Expect daytime highs around 86 F (30 C) and nighttime lows around 62 F (17 C). Wear light clothes, and remember sun protection!

The event is sold out, but don't worry! You can purchase a Hotel EDC package and get tickets to the festival along with everything the hotel offers. Prices vary depending on the package ($1,927 for GA and $3,126 for VIP experience).

Security Protocols

Security at EDC Las Vegas is all about keeping the vibe fun and safe for everyone. Expect bag checks, metal detectors, and friendly staff making sure you're good to go. You’ll need a valid photo ID to enter, and there's a clear bag policy. Medical staff will be available on-site 24/7. How to Get To or From the Event

To reach the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, here are your main transportation options:

• Official shuttles: This is the most popular option. Standard shuttles run from different Strip and Downtown hotels directly to the Speedway. They offer round-trip service every day of the festival (6:30 PM to 2 AM). VIP shuttle options are also available, with which you can choose your departure time. Buy your shuttle passes here.
• Car: Use GPS to get to 7000 N Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89115. Expect heavy traffic, especially during peak arrival and departure times. Parking is free but can fill up quickly. Premier Parking options are also available for closer access (extra cost).
• Helicopter transfer: Maverick Helicopters offers flights from the Strip to EDC in about 15 minutes. A one-way flight costs $675, and a round-trip flight costs $975.

EDC Las Vegas 2025 Bag Policy

There’s a clear bag policy; only small, transparent bags or fanny packs are allowed. Hydration packs are cool, too, as long as they're empty when you arrive.

Prohibited items include outside food and beverages, professional cameras, illegal substances, large umbrellas, and dangerous objects.
