Summerfest 2025

Welcome to the beat of the summer!

Summerfest is the ultimate jam session on Milwaukee’s lakefront. It's three weekends of wall-to-wall music, dancing under the stars, and discovering your next favorite artist while munching on cheese curds. From hip-hop to country, rock to EDM, this is where every genre and every fan comes to play.

Born in 1968 as Milwaukee’s answer to a cultural celebration, Summerfest grew from a city-wide party into the world’s largest music festival. With legends like Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, and Foo Fighters gracing its stages, it’s been dropping hits for over five decades.

The dates for this summer party are: June 19 - 21, June 26 - 28, and July 3 - 5. Location: Henry Maier Festival Park.

What to Expect When Attending Summerfest 2025

Expect a blend of big-name headliners, indie gems, and local legends on 12 stages, equipped with awesome lights and smoke machines!

  • Music: American Family Insurance Amphitheater is the crown jewel of the fest. In this 23,000-seat venue, you'll get to hear headliners Def Leppard, Hozier, James Taylor, Lainey Wilson, Megan Thee Stallion, and more. The Miller Lite Oasis Stage is a go-to for party vibes and popular music acts. BMO Pavilion is a fan favorite with reserved and free seating, and a more intimate (yet still big!) concert experience with incredible sound and lakefront views. Check out the lineup for all stages and join all fans at Summerfest, singing your favorite songs!
  • Food and drinks: Miller Lite is the official beer of Summerfest, proudly served throughout the festival grounds. Fans can also explore different beverage options, including offerings from Molson Coors brands like Leinenkugel’s, Hop Valley, and Terrapin. And there's food, of course! From classic Wisconsin cheese curds and juicy brats to loaded nachos, BBQ, and gourmet burgers, the fest is a flavor-packed feast. Craving something sweet? Grab a funnel cake, deep-fried Oreos, or a refreshing scoop of custard.
  • Special activities: Summerfest offers a lot of fun! Challenge your skills at the Gruber Law Offices SportsZone with games and friendly competitions, or take in panoramic views from the Skyglider ride. Shop till you drop at nearly 100 vendors offering everything from handmade jewelry to unique artwork at the South Market, Artisan Makers Market, and Shop Local Market. Don't miss special events like the dazzling Big Bang Fireworks on opening night and Latin Music Day featuring live salsa, tropical beats, and a DJ dance party.

With a few simple precautions, you’ll be free to enjoy the music, food, and sunshine worry-free!

Here's how to get to Henry Maier Festival Park:

  • Shuttles: MCTS operates special Summerfest shuttles every 15 minutes from three Park and Ride lots (College Avenue, Brown Deer Park, and Hales Corners). These shuttles provide direct, non-stop service to the festival's Mid Gate entrance. Fares are cashless and cost $10 for a round trip.
