Bank of America Stadium bag policy guide

Bank of America Stadium is one of the landmark football venues in the US. Located in North Carolina, this beautiful stadium is right in Uptown Charlotte and is the home of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers. This means that catching a game or an event here can be quite easy if you are in town visiting for other reasons. And it's not just football games, the venue also hosts comedy shows, family-friendly shows, concerts, and other live event shows.

While in Charlotte some of the other attractions and sights worth visiting include Discovery Place Science, Freedom Park, Carowinds, NASCAR Hall of Fame, Mint Museum Uptown, and the Sullenberger Aviation Museum. There are also endless shopping and dining options throughout the city.

But before you get too ahead of yourself in planning your itinerary, it's important to learn about the bag policy in effect at the stadium. It's rather strict and you don't want to have items turned down at the gates. Maybe you're heading straight to the venue from the airport, if that's the case the bag policy will throw a wrench in your plans. Let's check out all the details, as well as how we can help with luggage and bag storage while you're at a game or event.

Bank of America Stadium is an iconic venue

Bank of America Stadium Bag Policy

The Bank of America Stadium bag policy allows you to bring in one clear plastic bag. The clear bag policy is meant to speed up inspection and ensure safety and enjoyment for all guests. It can be a clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bag. As long as the clear bag doesn't exceed 12 x 6 x 12 inches it is permitted inside. You can use a one-gallon freezer bag as your clear bag. Transparent plastic bags that are permitted include fanny packs, backpacks, and cinch bags.

Non-transparent bags are also allowed inside, but they can't be larger than 4.5 x 6.5 inches. These smaller bags still need to be placed in a clear plastic bag when going through the stadium entrances. Small bags and purses larger than 4.5 x 6.5 inches need to be clear. Both clear and non-transparent bags have to go through security before being allowed inside.

Diaper bags are a prohibited item. You'll need to transfer the contents you need into a clear bag that fits the size restriction. Diaper bags will still need to go through security inspections to be permitted inside Bank of America Stadium. You are allowed to bring two sealed bottles of water per person, but they can't be larger than 16.9 oz.
