Getting between Brisbane Central Station and Brisbane Airport is easy using the AirTrain service, the fastest and easiest way to travel between the two destinations. The journey will take under half an hour’s time, and tickets are priced at AUD$15.00.

South Bank Parklands

Spanning 17 hectares, the South Bank Parklands are a beautiful greenspace by the riverfront where tourists and locals can spend time outdoors. The parklands comprise over 20 landscaped sections with modern facilities for the community. Stop by for a stroll, run or bike ride along the paths, or stick around for a picnic or BBQ. To get here from the train station, catch the nearby 555 bus and hop off at the Cultural Centre station. The parklands are just a short walk away from there. The cost of bus tickets on this route is between AUD$2.84 and AUD$4.34.

Brisbane Powerhouse

Make your way to New Farm Park to check out the Brisbane Powerhouse, a space dedicated to culture, art, and performance. The venue is pretty impressive, dating back to pre-war times, although we’re sure you’re here for the entertainment. Overall, the Powerhouse serves as a venue for close to 1,250 shows every year, including events like the Brisbane Comedy Festival or the Festival of Queer Arts and Culture. To get here, walk from Central Station to Adelaide Street Stop 25 and ride the 196 bus to Brunswick St at Parkview. From there, the park is just 5 minutes away by foot. The bus fare is between AUD$2.84 and AUD$3.55, and the journey should take about half an hour.

Eat Street

If you’re a traveling foodie, Eat Street is a place you won’t want to miss out on visiting. This super cool space, made out of nearly 180 shipping containers, is a meeting point for food vendors from all over the globe. In total, close to 70 traders offer their food alongside 5 themed bars, and there’s often live music playing to top it off. What more could you want? 

Eat Street is only open between Friday and Sunday and will take a bit under an hour to get to from Central Station. Start at Adelaide Street Stop 23 and grab a seat on bus 300. Get off at the Racecourse Rd stop and transfer onto the 304 bus until Theodore St. After a few minutes of walking, you’ll be ready to explore Eat Street. The 300 bus route has tickets priced between AUD$2.84 and AUD$3.55, and bus 304 costs AUD$2.84.
