LA Comic Con 2024

Express yourself and your love for anime, pop culture, comics, gaming, and much more at this year's Los Angeles Comic Con!

Established in 2011 by three geek culture fans, this event was first called Comikaze Expo. It initially gathered local artists, tattoo artists, comic book dealers, comic book publishers, press vendors, designers, and so on. Comic cosplays and contests were also a part of the event's excitement! It was a creative space for fans to dress up as their favorite characters, meet celebrities, and collect autographs at the Artists' Valley.

The first event in 2011 drew 35,000 visitors, and as years passed, the event grew to attract more than 150,000 attendees!

In 2024, this multi-genre convention will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from October 4 to October 6.

What to Expect When Attending LA Comic Con 2024

Expect various types of entertainment. From cosplay championships and kids' costume contests to exhibitions and gaming experiences, you'll get the opportunity to absorb it all.

Many celebrities have attended the LA Comic Con in the past years. The event offers attendees a chance to meet stars from popular movies and TV shows, such as the actors from 'The Mandalorian,' 'Rick and Morty,' 'Avatar: The Last Airbender,' 'What We Do in the Shadows,' 'The Addams Family,' and more. 

In this year’s edition, you'll see Ewan McGregor, Michael J. Fox, Christina Ricci, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, and Tom Wilson. Fans will be able to take photos with their favorite celebs and participate in autograph sessions! This part of the event will be broadcast live on IGN platforms for those who won't be able to attend!

Celebrate the world of games, videos, and fun in the gaming hall offering a free play area, gaming stage, and stream studio. The organized play tournament will bring amateurs and experienced players together to show off their gaming skills!

The weather will be pleasant and mild, with temperatures ranging from 77°F (25°C) during the day and 61°F (16°C) during the evening. Bring a jacket to stay comfortable!

For adults:

• Friday pass: $47.00
• Saturday pass: $68.50
• Sunday pass: $58.50
• Three-day pass: $114.00

For kids:

• Kids pass (age 7-12): $23.50
• One-day teen pass: $37.00
• Three-day teen pass: $58.50
• Kids under the age of 7 can enter for free.

Security Protocols

• Security personnel: Police officers and security will be on-site to ensure everyone's safety.
• First-aid stations: Medical staff will be scattered throughout the event's grounds in case of an emergency.
• Bag checks: The security will check all bags at the entrance.
• Prohibited items: Large bags, dangerous objects, and outside beverages and food aren’t allowed.

How to Get To or From the Event

Here are several options to get to the Los Angeles Convention Center:

• Metro Rail: Take the Blue Line (A Line) or Expo Line (E Line) and go to the Pico Station. You'll have to take a short walk to the venue from there.
• Metro Bus: Use the Metro Trip Planner to check out which bus routes go from your location to the event.
• Car: You can drive there, but expect a huge crowd. The center offers parking lots, including the South Hall and West Hall Garages.

LA Comic Con 2024 Bag Policy

Remember that all bags will be checked at the entrance. Bags larger than 12"x6"x12" aren’t allowed. The Convention Center doesn't provide official luggage storage options.
