Pack your bags and mark the date October 7-14.
Expect plenty of excitement from the thrilling air show and many entertaining concerts and exhibitions.
You'll watch large ships passing under the Golden Gate Bridge and marvelous air stunts performed by the US Navy's Blue Angels along the San Francisco Bay. The U.S. Navy Blue Angels show is the only air show in the US with a commercial airliner performing a fully choreographed act!
The event is a great opportunity to learn a lot about military branches. The U.S. Coast Guard will showcase search and rescue missions showing their role in maintaining safety, and the U.S. Navy will give visitors the chance to tour vessels and learn about life at sea.
Here's some good news: if you're in the mood for music and relaxation, there will be free concerts available throughout the week. On October 10, the Honor Our Fallen concert at Herbst Theatre will take place. You can also listen to a High School Band Challenge on October 14, where high school bands will compete for the prize, which will support their school music programs. Their performances will feature many patriotic tunes, so come to support them!
The weather will be mild and pleasant, with temperatures ranging between mid-60s to low 70s°F (18°C to 22°C). Dress comfortably, bring a jacket or a sweater, and enjoy!
